Geo-Cloud.net Research
Geo-Cloud is a comprehensive set of IT technology that provides a unified geo-spatial enabled environment for managing and using GIS data, tools, and simulations.
It includes a distributed high performance network environment maintaining connectivity between a Geo-Browser and all of the available Geo-Resources. The Geo-Cloud maintains all meta data to efficiently catalog, store, access, and update Geo-Resources. 3D and 4D visualization tools allow users to interact with data and processes on a near real-time basis on a variety of platforms (desktop, mobile devices). Collaboration is provided through virtual public, private, and special purpose clouds that provide support for various communities and disciplines.
